How Many properties sell each year in London?
I have already tried looking in the ONS (Office of National Statistics), RIC (royal Institute of Chartred Surveyors) and Land Registry. Am getting a bit frantic! Any guidance to the appropriate resource would be most gratefully appreciated.

Year On Year Property Sales I would think about 1200 - 1400 sales per month residential properties only.How do I solve a boundary dispute without too much stress?
My neighbour and I bought two semidetached cottages with 180 foot of brambles and overgrown 'forest'. As we cleared the land I made a rough guess where the boundary was and now we think it's out. My neighbour is keen to leave things alone, but I want to put up a fence now - in the right place - have hired a Chartered Surveyor as Land registry plans dont help. Anyone been in a similar situation, or can offer advise please?

I have to write 500 word essay on this topic. I know what land surveyor does, but I am not sure how they can positively impact the environment. The only idea that comes to my mind is correctly separating the boundaries so that the wildlife will have their habitat. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

a land surveyor just makes measurements on the land, they have no impact on the environment, one way or the other that I can see. .Is it possible to become a California professional land surveyor with a degree in Civil Engineering?
I am currently enrolled in UC Davis as a civil engineering major. I want to become a licensed professional land surveyor. The only colleges in california that offer a surveying program are cal state fresno and pomona, but I want to stay in a University of California.

You should review the requirements from the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors. A degree in anything will not get you a Survey license, not even one from Fresno. You will need to sit for and pass two separate 8 hour examinations with a bit of work experience in between them. Education will help, but it is not the direct route. You should log on to their website (http://www.pels.ca.gov/ ) and read thru the requirements and process so that you can adjust your education and perhaps frame your summer jobs. good luck.. Its a good profession.. almost recession proof since in California there are only about 4,000 licensed surveyors, many of them are retired or slowing down, and its a damn big state . You may also want to check the California Land SUrveyors Association website for other information that may help. .How do land surveyors mark the center of the road?

It is a Warren Knight company land surveyor. It is very old, possible from the 50's. It is in perfect condition. So i was wondering how i can find out how much it would be worth. Thanks.

Probably no where near what you think it is worth. If there is an auction house near you take it and ask them they have books to look up such items. Doesn't sound very highly collectible so get ready for them to give you a very low price. Good luck. Different states have different requirements. In Florida, a 4 year college degree in Land Surveying or a related field is required. When I got my surveying license in 1990, there was no education requirement, but 6 years in responsible charge of a field crew and 6 months of office calculations and drafting were required along with references from 6 other licensed land surveyors.What are the educational requirements to be a land surveyor?

no no nWhat do in need to become a professional land surveyor in Texas?
I am pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at San Antonio but would also like to become a Professional Land Surveyor. I understand the requirements for the fundamentals of surveying exam followed by a two year internship. However, I have found that prior to taking the second portion of the exam I am required to have 32 semester hours in the areas of Civil Engineering, Surveying, Math, Photogrammetry, Forestry, Land Law, Business Law, Physical Sciences, Computer Science (Including Drafting), Cartography, Technical Writing, Geography, and Ethics according to the Texas Board of Professional Surveyors. Their website does not specify which of these courses I will need but my CE degree contains well over 32 credit hours of the aforementioned courses. So, will my Civil Engineering degree satisfy the requirements for Professional Surveying Exam? If not, what else will I need. I can provide further information if needed on my degree plan or anything else. I have contacted the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveyors as well as multiple other local sources and found nothing that will help me. I need to know the courses I will need to take this because I am a veteran using the GI Bill and I need to submit a complete list of courses to be approved for payment, anything not in my degree play may be used as an elective if I find out ahead of time. I know this is a lot, thank you for any and all help that you can provide.

THe state board will provide you with a written list of requirements for admission to the two examinations. Most states that require a degree or courses require a broad mix of those classes.. as a PE also I know that most engineering degree courses leave you ill equipped to be a professional surveyor. I would suggest that you contact a surveyor that passed his exam(s) just last year. They will generally be happy to help because it is behind them. You can get their contact info from your boards website.
