Need help finding a company or supplier?

What is happening to me when I feel a sudden heat surge through my body during emotional moments?

Makes the hairs on my skin stand up, but no sign of goosebumps.

Davidness

Question answered by crazdgunman

Yep, correct. The goosebumps (even if too small to see)are a vestigal reminant of the tiny erector muscles that would fluff up each strand of body hair...when you were a much more furry creature in the time of the cave man...like cat that gets scared and tries to look bigger. In this case the emotions cause what is know as a "Fight or flight" reflex. Proof of evolution.

What stretches and excesses can you do for Sciatic back pain?

Thanks for helping. If you have links that show what to do, that would also be awesome!

Eternalsilence

Question answered by Dr Graeme Teague

Hello Eternals If you want to remove your sciatica then you need to stretch but you also need to improve the strength of the weak muscles and make sure the lower spinal joints are moving correctly. Stretching only covers possibly a third of the causes of your sciatica. This doesn't mean you shouldn't stretch, but you should use stretches as a part of a regime to permanently fix your sciatica. Also.. make sure you use PNF stretches, as research has shown these to be far quicker and more effective at releasing muscle tension. The main muscles you should target are the Piriformis, but also the Hip Flexors, Lower Back Muscles (erector spinae) and Hamstrings are important as well. See the link below for some techniques you can try now to ease your back pain, and follow the link to where you can find the techniques you need to solve your problem. Also... How do you get a 12 year olf faster for football?

How do you get a 12 year olf faster for football because hes fast but he keeps on bugging about me to get faster .

Nahh Brah Nahh

Question answered by Footballher10

One becomes faster by strengthening the muscles on THE BACK OF THE LEGS. The Soleus, Gastrocnemius, Hamstrings, Gluteas Major and Minors and Erector Spinae. Train him to pump his arms in RHYTHM with his legs as he moves and to land AND push off on the balls of the feet. Train in Resistence (Parachutes, running slightly uphill, bicycles and rope, him pulling you on a bike....) and in Overspeed (Running slightly downhill, you pulling him with you on the bike. Overspeed stimulates Central Nervous System development. Sign him up for 'spring football' (Track and Field) And get some books on Plyometrics and speed burst training. The key to all of this is that he came to you. If he hadn't, I wouldn't have shared this information. Good luck, and have fun together with it.

How do I help my sister get over her tragic loss of her BF????????????

He was a sign erector putting up a sign for polo mints. The ladder slipped and he fell through the O to his death, his mother wrote a moveing and beautifull poetic tribute. Here he lies my son joe, who died when he fell through the letter O, when he was alive there was nobody better but he died as he came through a hole in a letter ! (sniff!) No flowers please just make cheques(spelt the right way) payable to maddog.

Licensed Contractor is a fraud. What can I do?

We signed a contract for some home remodeling work. At first the contractor was very polite and timely. After he received our second of three payments, he became extremely unorganized and dishonest. He bid the project for $9,300.00. The contract was signed on April 18, 2007 and work began two days later. It was estimated to take 7-10 days, but now 2+ months later, our house is in worse condition than when work first began. After doing some research, it turns out this guy is NOT a licensed contractor and he is operating under his brothers license. When I contacted the company the license number is bonded with, they told me the licensor denies ever meeting me or signing any contract with me. I got some estimates on how much it would cost to complete the project (its about 70% complete), and I would like to be reimbursed for the additional costs. What steps should I take now that I found out this guy is impersonating someone, and the person he is pretending to be is allowing this. Raicha- I live in California. The only other info of the brother I have is his name, license number, phone number, and home/business address. I've opened a claim with the brothers bond. Not sure if they can do anything, but atleast point me in the right direction. Is a lawyer necessary for this situation, or is this something I can do on my own? And you are right--I'm not only doing this for myself, but to make sure no one else has to deal with these guys. Thank you raicha and constructioncom. I REALLY appreciate it.

Question answered by swifty

There is no valid contract, and CA law is very specfic with regard to the fact that unlicensed contractors are not entitled to A DIME for any work performed if the job is one for which a license is required. California Business & Professions Code section 7031: “No person engaged in the business or acting in the capacity of a contractor, may bring or maintain any action, or recover in law or equity in any action, in any court of this state for the collection of compensation for the performance of any act or contract where a license is required by this chapter without alleging that he or she was a duly licensed contractor at all times during the performance of that act or contract, regardless of the merits of the cause of action brought by the person, except that this prohibition shall not apply to contractors who are each individually licensed under this chapter but who fail to comply with Section 7029.” … And more importantly: “A person who utilizes the services of an unlicensed contractor may bring an action in any court of competent jurisdiction in this state to recover all compensation paid to the unlicensed contractor for performance of any act or contract.” Recently, the MW Erectors case further elaborated on this point (link below). Depending on how much you have already paid this guy, you may be able to take him to small claims and get all of your money back. In CA, the maximum for small claims is $7,500 for individuals. You mention that you have given him 2 payments, so I'm guessing you are under that $7,500 threshhold. You probably won't get far with the bond surety for the brother, unless you can prove the brother was somehow involved. Instead, take the unlicensed contractor to court, and be sure to bring to the judge the MW Erectors case and the Business & Professions Code sections that specifically state that the unlicensed contractor is not entitled to any compensation for work performed, and that you are entitled to a full refund.

Question answered by AnonymousGearhead

For me, the hardest part is sharing the road with 95% idiots without being able to legally shoot them. You know who I'm talking about...The person yapping on their cell phone and drifting 3 feet to either side, swerving into other lanes. The person driving 10 feet off your bumper at 75mph. The person who doesn't use a turn signal to change lanes, or to exit a highway, or at all (this is my biggest pet peeve). The people who put massively oversized wheels on their trucks (Suburbans on 22" wheels still look stupid to me) and keep the stock brakes, making their vehicle stop and ride much worse than it did stock, making it more dangerous. The people who put giant mufflers and enormous erector set styled wings on their economy cars who go driving around at 45mph in second gear to sound "cool"...well, they are kind of entertaining sometimes, but many of them drive like idiots. The person driving at exactly the speed limit in the fast lane who won't get over, forcing you to pass on the right, which is unsafe. The increasingly strict laws making it harder and harder to modify my car to my liking. The profiling of cops to pick my car out of a crowd just because it's yellow, a mustang, and has no mufflers, even if I'm not doing anything wrong (and no, the exhaust is not so loud it's illegal, by the way). The people who rush to cut you off, or who speed up when they see you put your turn signal on to merge into traffic. The people who, when merging onto the highway SLOW DOWN to try to get into traffic, rather than speed up so that they are keeping up with traffic when they merge. The government who outlaws road rage, but doesn't do anything about the people who drive like idiots who cause road rage.

are labours job creation schemes of any benefit to anyone?

or are they a stab in the back to every law abiding person in the country? we have cpsos who strut around in their hi- viz jackets ready to pounce if a photo is taken, or a car stops for a second. or if your front wheel is on the line. OMG what a crime that is. then we have sign erectors planting signs that tell us there are signs ahead we have road line painters who overnight will bewilder any law abiding driver with a multitude of insane stripes, lines , big white circles and arrows to the left right and up your own arse. we have dog mess inspectors. we have, is your fence too high inspectors. etc etc etc all of which we have to pay for from our ever increasing council tax. is it all worth it? och aye. well spotted. but maybe someone can show me a good example of how this scheme is good?

Question answered by The electorate

I think its a waste of money to hire migrants to work in council jobs, its also an insult to the people who live in those councils and pay taxes. What for? just so a migrant can do the job that a local should be doing. The real job creation schemes are the human rights watch dogs and the interpreters for government offices. Can't speak the language then why not learn it? Labour have wasted billions making sure locals are kept out of work. I honestly can't think of anything good to come out of Labour for job creation, and the new deal is a sick joke. A degrading menial disgusting way to treat your own people.

What should I call this job role?

I'm helping my cousin with his CV. One of his previous jobs was putting up the paper adverts and installing the digital adverts in London Underground stations. I need to think of a good name for the role. He originally put 'Advertiser and Marketer' which is very misleading, so I don't think he should use it. But obviously I can't put 'poster guy'. Any ideas?

Upper back pain and stiffness?

I lift weights and have put on alot of muscle in my trap region within this past year. Since I've put on the mass I've been getting stiffness in my lower and mid traps. I'm wondering if this is a growth pain or something else. I don't feel as if I've injured the region, but when I bend over to stretch…the erector muscles in my mid back loosen and pop (giving me a blood rush to the head). I've had massages and chiropractic care but haven't obtained satisfactory results. Has anyone else had this and if so does it go away after awhile?
