What time do shops close on a Sunday these days?
Going on a rare shop tommorrow in Cambridge (UK) and was sowndering if anyone knows the time the shops close. Was planning to get there for 3pm but may go earlier if shops close at 4. However, if they close at 5.30 then 3pm will be perfect.

shops are allowed to open for 6 hours on a sunday. most open 10am to 4pm, some, such as diy stores tend to open 11am to 5pm, so it depends.
How many clothes shops in the UK are second-hand stores in comparison to the 'new clothes' shops?
I am doing an extended essay and want to know how many clothes shops in the UK are second-hand stores in comparison to the 'new clothes' shops? As second hand shops and buying unwanted clothes rather than new ones is better for the environment and they seem to be popping up everywhere.
There must be a statistic somewhere but I am yet to come across it!!

Question answered by Skidoo
I doubt there's a statistic available as such. You might do better to survey 3 or 4 High Streets in your area to get a snap shot picture. I'd guess the proportion of second hand to new clothes shops is pretty low; there's charity shops and there are a few higher quality second hand clothes shops for vintage clothes, but not that many!
In Riyadh, where can I find carpet shops that sells good quality but reasonably-priced carpets?
I usually see carpet shops inside the mall where the prices of each carpet are too expensive for me.
Please refer some shops here in Riyadh that have good quality but reasonably-priced carpets.
Thanks.

Question answered by Abdulrahman
Haraj or Auction market; there are lots of carpets shops behind the auction market. Check these coordinates on google maps; 24.595529,46.732289
or Bin Dayl market
Google coordinates: 24.613439,46.70626
If you did not find it cheap enough here, you wont find it anywhere esle in Riyadh.
Good luck.
What are the best charity and thrift shops in London and the surrounding area?
Charity shopping in London is becoming quite expensive. I'm looking for charity shops/boot sales that still offer great bargains, with view to buying stock for a vintage store.
Travelling to the outskirts of London is possible.
Any serious tip offs greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Question answered by Cherri
If I remember correctly items can be placed for sale after 45 days, it may depend on the laws of each state though. And yes you can find some good deals at pawn shops, one here sells all cd's and dvd's for four bucks, also my mom used to get some great bargains on diamond jewelry!
What tips do you have for a male trying to find quality clothes at thrift shops?
Are thrift shops really the way to go? Should I just get stuff at wal mart?
John
Question answered by B
there's a reason its at a thrift store.. because no one wanted it...
the only good thrift shops are specialty thrift shops that go out and buy the clothes.
BUT the economy is rough right now, so i say give it a try.. but actually wal mart isnt that bad any more for a tight budget.. you can find good stuff at either place if you look. i'd say stick to pants from real stores tho, that way you can have your size.

What good Magic the Gathering shops are in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area?
I know that I can look up shops on the Wizards of the Coast Website but, I want to hear actual experiences and opinions on shops people have visited. I enjoy Friday Night Magic and booster drafts.
Do any shops award a booster pack for each FNM round you win? Do any shops with drafts award packs to the top four (as opposed to paying out just the top two)? Anyone know shops that will give you a discount to draft there if you bring your own packs? Also, what events are local shops doing this weekend for the Gatecrash release?

Question answered by mangaman81
Not sure you'll find anyone on here--that's awfully specific. Just try going out to shops, and you can see for yourself if they're any good. Also, pack a win is rare and generally not a good policy--you stand to gain a lot more when the rewards are top-heavy.
What tattoo shops in Arizona will tattoo minors with parental consent?
I've been thinking about getting a matching tattoo with my family. I'm 16, and am looking for a good tattoo shop that will do it with my mom there with me.
Some shops will tattoo minors, and some shops won't.
Bree
Question answered by monkeymanelvis
In Arizona the law says that it is illegal to tattoo anyone under 14 years. It also says that to tattoo anyone anyone aged 14, 15, 16, 17 or 18 then the person's legal guardian must be present. Anyone aged 19+ can get tattooed on their own.
So most tattoo shops in Arizona should tattoo someone aged 16 as long as they are accompanied by their mother. You both will need to take ID though.
