What is a good online t-shirt maker for Mass production tshirts?

i'm looking to make some t-shirts for my band and i was wondering if there was a good, cheap, digital t-shirt maker that i could use.

Impressive

Question answered by alexcn

I have used cafepress.com a number of times and they are pretty good, also http://www.streetshirts.co.uk/ are brilliant, they both allow your own designs but out of the two I would say streetshirts is the better one

what program can i use to make logos and designs to be printed on t-shirts?

I made a design that needed work to be done to it in microsoft paint and sent it to t-shirt makers. They all said that it needs to be on a program that allows me to save it as a eps or pdf file so they can edit it and move things about accordingly. What program (preferably free) can i download or get to this? Thank you. Neil Maclean.

Screen printers need files to be in vector format. That is why they ask for it as an eps or pdf file. The only free vector program is GIMP. Unfortunately, if you aren't familiar with the program it may be more trouble than it's worth. Professional designers use either Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator. Photoshop cannot be used as it is not a vector based program. The same is true with Paint. It seems that you may be stuck paying a design fee to the local screen printer to have it converted. Because it will have to be redrawn in the correct format. If you need help, check me out. Good luck.

I am looking to make high quality t shirts, need a machine?

I want to start a business and am looking to buy a high quality shirt maker. Not an iron or a press, but a nice quality one, that makes it look like the ink is actually in the fabric. Can anyone tell me how this is done, where i can find a product of this kind. thanks.

How do shirt makers decide what number to print on them?

I've seen a lot of numbers on trendy shirts, pretty much all of them two digits. Is there a reason for the number they choose? I think the most common number I have seen is 76. Why 76? brenda clovis b, you misinterpreted the question. I mean a number printed anywhere on the shirt as part of the fashion look. It may be on the front, back or sleeves and often in big print. It's not a reference to the size or type of garment.

How do I make an elastic hook to enlarge a shirt collar?

My husband's shirt collar needs to be enlarged. Years ago, I made him some elastic hooks that went around each button and that solved the problem. However, after all these years, I don't remember how I made them. Could someone please refresh my memory?

Question answered by NITYAs TOUCH

The existing collar can't be increased in size, but a competent shirt maker can replace the collar with a new one, but usually not of the same material. It would be far easier and less expensive to buy a size medium and have the body tapered to fit you.

How to start a t-shirt business that uses student submitted designs?

My roomate and I would like to start a t-shirt business at our University. We eventually would like to allow our fellow students to submit designs for big sporting/campus events. What are the legal issues with that? Both for the creative property for the submissions and any university logos. Also what would we need to do to be able to sell on campus?

Question answered by jeremyteitelbaum

be careful with the schools. Now alot of them have trademarked their names and logos so they can own the t shirt market. At Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA there have been t shirt makers shut down for using the school name. (I dont agree with it, but they legally have the right to do that). You would need to get the students to release the artwork they give you. Its a pretty standard form, used all over the internet. Again, the schools make money off people so they charge you fees to sell on campus, and have requirements such as sales tax, insurance, and licenses. But, if you have a good product you can still profit with it. Another idea, make them for the clubs (though there will be alot of competition there) and the clubs will sell them for you. Last resort, know what college kids want, what are the trends (eg. something nasty about GW Bush) and that will sell like hotcakes, cause its unique. Good luck.

Where to buy a good quality dress shirts without paying too much?

I am looking to buy a dress shirt for my interview next month but do not want to spend much nor want to buy baggy box cut shirt from macys , kohls or big box retailers. Any suggestions?

Question answered by a_gud_life

For ready-to-wear shirts, probably the best option is to go for are the boutique shirt-makers. There are many like proper cloth, bonobos, luxire.com, hugh & crye among others. These shirts are generally more expensive than what you would buy say macys, kohls, sears, jcpenney etc. But are of a much better quality, much better fit and generally much better service. Few of them offer free shipping and free return shipping on all orders. Recently, luxire.com had some really good deals. Am not sure if they are still on, but you should check them out.
