lke in America we have chinese restaurants, italian restaurants, mexican restaurants... do they have American restaurants in other countries? and if so what do they serve? hamburgers and fries?? sorry if this is a dumb question, ive never been to another country so i dont know so in china, is McDonalds considered an American food restaurant?

This is very interesting and funny too: In India: McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, TGIF They selll the same stuff mostly but more Indianized: no beef and no pork. Huge vegetarian choices. So McD's is lamb or chicken. That right: Big Mac is a Maharaja Burger made eith veg or with lamb. http://www.mcdonaldsindia.com/ I dont know what the original 11 herbs & spices are at KFC, but in India they add red chili powder & a little garam masala. It's also a sit down restaurant with tablecloths & waiters! "american" food is realy just english food mixed with random quisine from other countryes and deepfried, I grew up in italy, in an area were the only fastfood (mc donalds) was the only one within 30 km, going to mc D. was like going out for dinner with the family, in my case it was 12 km away from my house, witch in italy is a lot. real nativ american food is a different story, i cant immagin a native american resturant abroad, actualy,,, i cant immagin a native american restaurant at all, not even in canada were i live, i tink nativs dident have time to waste on food, they just ate whatever did the job of kipping them strong.Where should I take my boyfriend for his 17th birthday?
I'm planning on taking him out to dinner, during the weekend (lunch or dinner?) and I would like some good suggestions. 17 is a big year and I'd like to take him to a nice, artistic unique restaurant. Italian, French, Mediterraneann anything international really with a nice atmosphere. It should be a place where dress/black tie attire won't be out of place. Any suggestions? In the Dallas, TX area. He's a photographer, intellectual knows cuisine... He'll see through if it's a bad quality place.

Ahahahahah Greece is a balcanic country, its main religion is the Eastern Orthodox Church, its economy is one of the poorest of EU, even the alphabet is completly different than the one used in western Europe! Italy is a mainly catholic country, it's the 6th world economic power, its alphatet is latin as the alphabet used in America and western Europe... The only culinary affinities could be some essences of mediterranean flora used in some dishes...like rosemary, laurel, sage, etc...What do you learn from eating at an Asian restaurant?

That depends on your weight. If you started at 300 pounds, then it would be normal; 150 pounds, not so much.Does anyone have good ideas for my 18th birthday?

No. Working in deli doesn't qualify for employment based immigration. It would be better if your mother files I-130 Petition for you, if you are unmarried. Currently there is about 8-9 years of waiting.What's a good restaurant for a small group birthday celebration near San Carlos, CA?

Town in San Carlos is wonderful... trendy - great food and drinks. Piacere Ristorante is also great.... less trendy - smaller, great food. And Izzy's Steak house is terrific. Steaks, chops, good food. Much different atmosphere. Depends on what you're looking for in atmosphere and food.How do you define a restaurant?
Just eaten in one of a chain of restaurants, very fancy Italian named place and discovered all the food is brought in ready prepared, only had to be heated up on the premises. If we had wanted fast food we would have gone to a fast food place and paid a lot less. Do you think this is right? Do you think at least some of the food should be COOKED on the premises?
