Need help finding a company or supplier?

What promotional item would you like to receive, for free, at a Italian food stall?

I mean a silicon bracelet, a lighter, a necklace with USB, balloon or something similar...what would you like to receive? Food is already given out as free tastes so food does not count as promotional item and plastic bags too. Thank you.

Andrea A

Question answered by Designer~Wife

I'd still keep it food related - Like a pasta measuring stick (those plastic things with the different sized holes by number of servings), a sauce brush, a plastic scraper for pans etc. with your logo on them.

What is the best online promotional item vendor?

I am in charge of a staff recognition event for my workplace and need to create a gift catalog that displays a number of promotional gift options. I would like to spend a reasonably minimum amount of money for quality products. Does anyone know or have had experience with good promotional item vendors? Some of the items would include travel mugs, desk clocks, polos, key chains, USB drives, and other misc. items.

Writing to a company to ask for a promotional item?

My daughter has a project where she has to write to a company and ask for a promotional item. I would really appreciate some good ideas. I was told Apple and Dell wouldn't do anything. She also needs to know the company's main compition.

NANCY R

Question answered by Edith Anne

Pick a company and go on line to their website. Look for their annual report to get the competitor info and other info on the company. Try General Mills or other food companies. Apple and dell will not send you a free computer, but you could look to see who is an Olympics sponsor and ask for Olympic pins from them (IBM, UPS, Motorola....) good luck. It's a fun project.

Where is a good place to sell collectible video game displays, collector items, and toys on the internet?

I am in real need of money. I have plenty of old video game store promotional items, video game collectors items, and a bunch of other stuff. I want to sell the stuff, but I am not sure if I should use Amazon or Ebay or what. I currently don't have much money as a start up for either site and I just want to know how cheap I can sell stuff for a a good site.

Confused

Question answered by upperhand

What are the most effective Promotional products?

Promotional products are very important when provided to customers, it guarantees free advertising and wide exposition of the brand, and at the same time it helped clients remember the brand and how much they need it. so, what are the most effective promotional items? and where to find them?

tears_of_honor

Question answered by Robert F

in general, tee shirts, hats and pens are the most widely distributed promotional products, so we might assume they are the most effective. Of course it may depend on the context, in an event atmosphere you may have printed mugs or napkins, if you run a car wash maybe a window cleaner would be a nice item.

How can I find pet owners in my area?

I want to distribute coupons and promotional items for my pet care business to pet owners (especially dog owners) in my area. However, it would be a lot more efficient if I knew where to find them. I know there are people who could benefit from pet care who don't necessarily look where I have previously advertised (online, fliers, business cards, etc.) Ideally I would like to get a list of individual's who have registered their dogs with the town but I doubt that this is possible. Are there any other ways that I can reach pet owners who aren't actively in the market for pet care? I'd like them to at least know that my business exists. I've been advertising on Craigslist for over a year, as well as local bulletin boards, pet stores, veterinary offices and grooming offices. I'm trying to find out if there's any way I can target people who aren't already looking- people who look at classified ads and bulletin boards are already looking.

Question answered by Lisa

Dog parks, pet stores, fliers, ads in the paper, etc.

Why would it be bad to hand out leftover Census folders to high school students?

I have a friend who wants to hand out all these leftover Census promotional items such as folders and post its at school but his parents won't let him. I found this very curious and was wondering why couldn't you do that. Also, why would it be bad to give it all to one person? I'm specifically asking for any political or law related repercussions regarding the parents who were hired by the U.S. Census. The parents were responsible for those items and they are only promotional folders and post its and nothing more with no confidential information.

darkfireblade25

Question answered by Penny

It is against the law to do such a thing. It is also against the law for you friend to have in his possession these items. After the census was taken--the items--which are in the possession and responsibility of this child parents--should of been shredded and or re-cycled, torn up and thrown in the bin.

What type of machine prints logos on certain promotional items?

I recently received a plastic calculator as a promotional gift from a company. Their logo was printed on it. At first I thought it was simply a clear label but that wasn't the case. Then I thought perhaps it was simply some sort of paint but when I put my fingernail across it, the logo stayed protected from any damage. I've seen similar print jobs/logos done on frisbees, alarm clocks etc. Does anyone know what kind of printing method is needed for something like this and what the cost would be to purchase such a machine. Thanks in advance.

Terry S

Question answered by theideasguru

Most likely it would be what is called a pad printer. Lots of things involved here as the simple machines print one color. Hardly anyone wants their logo in one color though. So, your investment in inks alone could be quite hefty. Here's a site that offers a few for sale.

What kind of promotional items should order for my lawn business?

I am just starting a lawn business with my husband. What are good items to give away to our customers or prospects along with business cards?

Question answered by

How about a envelope of flower seeds or grass seeds. Staple them to your card. Or Four leaf clovers "It's your LUCKY day" How about a coupon for a free lawn mow. "Try before you Buy" I think you would get a ton of new customers this way. You might have to mow a few lawns but that's good practice and you can write it off as advertising. Do it in small batches so your not over run. After you finish be sure to ask if they have any family or friends that would like a FREE lawn mowed. Then you can offer a package deal. If family A buys this package you will give Family B the same group rate. If Family A really wants your service they will help convince Family B. You only need a few clients to get thing going. Good Luck

What does a Walgreens Beauty Advisor person do?

I might be getting hired for the cosmetics department at Walgreens and wondering what the job entails. They mentioned something about commision for promotional items. Just like to hear current or past employees own perspective about the job..

Isle Esme

Question answered by Howdy!

i have been in the cosmetic department for about 2 and half years now and i enjoy. you do earn commission on a good number of things, people look to you for advice and help with all sorts of cosmetic questions. during the holidays is normally when i earn the most commission because of the gift sets. i earned $100 bucks on one paycheck! (you get paid every 2 weeks) but since its not the holidays i normally get about 60 a paycheck. its all in how to push items and knowing which ones you get commission for. but as for the department you will be putting stock away checking overstock, and resets, that's where you pull deleted items and put new items on the shelf in a specific order. but the number 1 thing is to ring up as many customers in cosmetics as you can. customers come before any task you are doing.
