In taking a Clinical pregnancy test, is it true that a positive result usually comes quicker than a negative?
I took a pregnancy test a week ago in a family planning clinic and they told me they still don't have the result. They also said that positive results usually show up early as compared to negative. By the way, it's a urine test at a clinic.

I had my first pregnancy test done at our local hospital and was told after 5 days that it was negative and was more likely a cyst on the ovary, well that cyst is now nearly 17yrs old and is now sitting A levels (smart cyst) very expensive didn't realize I would have to dress it and feed it, take it to school also my cyst will talk and answer back wonder what would have happened if I had been pregnant?lol, don't worry about the result as far as my other tests i did, the home test were better and neg and poss results were just a fast as one another or you might just have a cyst like mine I love my cyst very much. lolWhat home pregnancy tests have been known to do really well?
My fiance and I are looking for a good pregnancy test that will work for us. I've heard a lot of bad reviews about the clearblue digital saying its wrong a lot. I'm not sure though. Any one have any advice?

Most of the pregnancy tests work well as long as you follow directions and don't test too early. That said, I prefer first response pregnancy tests. They have always been reliable for me. If you are trying to conceive and will be testing alot, I recommend you go on Amazon and order a bunch of pregnancy test strips. They sell them in packs of 25, 50 and 100 and they are very accurate! They told me I was pregnant before a regular pregnancy test from the store did. (6 days before my period was due)..What is the name of the pregnancy test that can detect pregnancy 6 days after the eggs fertilized?
I read online that some pregnancy tests can detect pregnancy a short time after conception and some 7 to 10 days before a missed period? Is this true? And if so, what are the brand names? Also, any good at home tests suggestions will help too.

As implantation occurs 10 days after ovulation there is NO test that can show positive 10 days before an expected period.. An EPT (early pregnancy test) is around 60% accurate 4 days before a period, or 10 DPO. Clear-Blue or First Response are well known brands. She has missed her period and took another pregnancy test today and it immediately turned positive and about 5 min later she looked at it again ans it was negative. Can she be pregnant? I know that by rights the pregnancy test cannot accurately state that it can be used more than 5 days before your expected period, but is it possible to get a positive reading sooner, hypothetically speaking?

All pregnancy tests are 99% effective regardless of brand or cost. false negatives happen all the time but it's usually because a woman is testing too early which has nothing to do with the tests accuracy.What is the most accurate pregnancy test to use?
I may need to take a pregnancy test in the next couple of days, so I was just wondering what the most accurate tests are. I'm not 100% sure what day I am supposed to get my period so I don't know what day I need to test for it to be accurate. I only know that I will need to take one if I do not get my period by Monday or Tuesday. I know tests work better for some than they do for others, but I would like some opinions. Thanks.

First Response Early Results is the most sensitive and accurate test on the market. The urine tests at doctor's offices are actually not anymore accurate or sensitive, though getting a blood test at the doctor's office would be the most sensitive and accurate. First Response Early Results shows positive at an HCG level of only 25 whereas other pregnancy tests do not show positive until an HCG level of 100. Your HCG level should be 25 by 13-18 days after having sex.Have you ever taken a pregnancy test and got a false negative?

I took a home pregnancy test 12 days after sex and the results came back negative. Is it possible that I could still be pregnant and that it was just too early for the test to pick up on it? I know most tests advise to wait until the date you're due for your period, or later, in order to get accurate results but I'm not due until the 20th and couldn't wait that long. If I don't get my period by the 23rd, how many days after that should I wait to take another home test for it to be accurate?

Home pregnancy tests should be taken minimum 2 weeks after conceiving ( differs for women to women) and after you are sure of pregnancy by symptoms you may visit a doctor and get a blood test done for the best result.What can cause different answers on a pregnancy test result?
I took 3 pregnancy tests and two of three came out positive. However, my boyfriend always pulls out, so I don't think this is 100% sure. Im on a versy strict diet and my body fat % is down to about 4 %. I don't think Im pregnant. What other factors could contribute to conflicting results?. I workout really hard everyday, and work out in the sun and I have a vert restricted diet. Any opinions?

Pulling out is not a very effective method of birth control. False positive pregnancy tests are rare. The only way I know a birth control test would turn positive is if you leave it sits for too long after you take it. It must be read within the time limit recommended on the box, or the test is not valid. The a false negative happens quite often as some tests don't detect pregnancy as early as others. Having a low body fat and restricted diet will contribute to missing your period, but not to false negatives.
