An "image" is created by shining a laser onto a selenium drum. Instead of being made up of light, the pixels consist of electrostatic charges. Any part of the drum which is carrying an eletrostatic charge will pick up toner. Those parts of the drum not carrying a charge will not pick up toner. The resulting image is then transferred to paper.What are the functions of a fancy photocopier ?

most photocopiers are called mfds multi functional device or mfp multi functional product. some features include copy, print, scan to email, scan to folder, fax, fax to email document server witch keeps regular work saved on its hard drive, reduce, enlarge, duplex ie. make a two sided copy, combine- two originals onto a one sided copy, staple,saddle staple, punch,booklet, sort, (these features only come when a finisher is installed) reverse image reverse colour, stamp, add cover sheets, data encrypt, multiply image and so on machines vary from 5 copies a minute to 130 copies a minute and can take various different media ie paper, thin paper ,card stock, thick card, ohps, envelopes and these can range in size from b6-a3 if your wondering why i know so much i work for a photocopier company lolHow much does a sales excutive (office automation-photocopiers) earn in Canada, and whihc province has demand?

It really depends on what level of executive and what type os sales. Commercial? Goverment? Retail?Is it safe for someone to move into an enclosed office, with no outside windows, where photocopiers were used?
Two large photocopiers and a fax machine have been being used in this office for years. I am aware that carbon and ozone are used in the photocopying process, though I would like to determine if there can be lasting results, in a room, from this.

He lived in town where everyone needs photocopy of their stuff. Photocopier is common in the Philippines but I don't know what brand their using. Please help. I want to buy it there too. There are copier rental schemes where the company loans you the copying machine, you just pay for the consumables (ink and paper) i think. canon has that, try contacting their hotline 8849000 or info@canon.com.ph. Other brands most probably offer similar if not more competitive schemes. Fuji Xerox, Sharp. They usually sponsor the signage as well.How does a microprocessor controll a modern photocopier?

I know of one company that I got a few cheap photocopiers from called trade copierswhy are scanner units of photocopiers placed at the bottom?
All the photocopiers have scanner units placed at the bottom and the documents to be copied are placed above it. Can we reconstruct the photocopier with scanner unit on top (and reversed), with the same operational effectiveness? ie, In order to feed document from bottom. This question may seem idiotic ;) , but it will be of great help if you could give me the right answer.

It's certainly possible to put the scanner on top, but by placing the scanner mechanism at the bottom, it provides a more solid, stable and safe environment for the optics and other mechanisms of the unit in a location that doesn't need to be opened and closed repeatedly, which could cause optics and mechanics alignment issues and unnecessary stress on components, and which also reduces the weight of the lid and provides fewer cables to break. Overall, the location in the bottom is a much more sensible, practical and logical approach to reduce problems.Are photocopiers in any way dangerous to pregnant women?
There is a pregnant woman at my work and she is scared that photocopiers might have dangerous radiation or something like that, and it might cause harm to the unborn child. Is her fear in anyway real or does she worry for no reason?

What you're thinking of is that there have been some concerns raised about the TONER used in copiers as it has been suggested that it could be dangerous to the unborn baby. However you would need to be exposed to the toner dust for a very prolonged period of time before you would reach the alleged dangerous levels. I also work in an office and my Health & Safety dept told me NOT to change the toner cartridge but that I could use the copier as normal without any problem.
