Does Vinegar Have Calories or Fat?
Most vinegars contain insignificant amounts of some or all of the mandatory nutrients required in nutrition labeling. Nutrition labeling is not required if the product contains insignificant amounts of all of the following components (calories, total fat, saturated fat, trans fats, cholesterol, sodium, total carbohydrate, dietary fiber, sugars, protein, vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium and iron) as outlined in the Chapter 21, Section 101.9(j)(4) of the U.S. Food & Drug Administration’s (FDA) Code of Federal Regulations. Most vinegars have less than 3 calories per tablespoon and no fat. Seasoned vinegars may contain more calories due to the added ingredients. Check the label of your favorite vinegar product to determine the nutrition information for that product.

How come everyone thinks the tropics will turn into desert or arid land?

Desertification of the Sahara has reversed since the recent warming. Many African tribes have been able to return to land that they had abandoned. Most of the claims of the alarmists, like more intense thunderstorms and hurricanes are scare tactics. I know that is not true because very cold aloft tends to makes more intense storms and that is not what greenhouse warming does. The air aloft warms up. As to deserts, i don't know about that, but you would think it would have accelerated the desertification of the Sahara if that were a valid theory.
Is it OK to replace breakfast with a shampoo that fortified with vitamins?
My shampoo has many vitamins. I have heard that many Americans get much of their nutrician from their vitamin packed shampoo. I have been doing this for a month and have lost weight.
I not suggesting that I eat shampoo you silly. I use the shampoo as directed and my hair eats all the vitamins that are in it. I think this may be a good replacement for breakfast since I shower in the morning.

Do the macro's really matter? I realize they are important in long term health but STRICTLY for weight loss do they matter? Does the body recognize calories or nutrician?

Conversion of carbohydrates to stored fat. Historically, we fatten up at harvest with lots of carbs so we can survive the winter by eating turnips, dried fish, and hardtack.

What are the best natural digestive aids?
Seems that I'm punished after most meals and have intestinal distress and a quick trip to the restroom takes place (mostly in the evening). I know I have lactose (milk) interolance, so I take aid for that, and fried foods can set me off.
What natural herbs, supplements, dietary aids are available from the natural vitamin / health food stores that seem to help with the digestive process? I'm tired of loosing what nutrician I am ingest and being angry with myself for even eating. Seems like I keep getting punished for eating over & over.
Any suggestions?

Healthyhilda, that is what I am thinking...I need some natural good flora bacteria's introduced. I take a multiple B / time released to aid with the fried foods, but sometimes I still have to be careful. Now when I think of it...I remember my Grandpa would eat a small cake of yeast! each day (yep the type for baking), and swore by it. He felt that you needed a bowel mvmt every day or something was wrong. I'm not very consistant...

The best digestive aid I have ever seen is Mona Vie. This is a mixture of 100% fruit juices that you take on an empty stomach morning and evening. It is rather pricey but if you are looking for the best you will ever try, take this. If you need intestinal bacteria, eat organic yogurt. It has the beneficial bacteria that you need for proper digestion.

If it contains a lot of sugar then the answer is yes.
All cereal bowls are not created equal. Tomorrow morning, fill your cereal bowl as you would normally, then grab the 1-cup measuring cup. Next, check the cereal box label to determine the recommended serving size which can be as little as 1/4 cup for granola-type cereals and as much as 1 1/3 cup for some varieties of cornflakes and puffy cereals. Using your measuring cup, measure how much cereal you deposited into your bowl.
With some cereals containing 200 or more calories per serving, an accidental double-serving can turn those breakfast calories into a T-bone steak meal or even a pack of Hostess Ding Dongs weighing in at 368 calories per serving.
If you discover that your bowl holds more than you thought, try switching to a smaller cereal bowl. Better yet, stick the measuring cup into the box and you'll always know exactly how much cereal you are eating.
How to cook frozen hash browns?
these are the southern style ( it just means theyre like little potato chunks) and I want to know how to cook them so theyre crispy but not burnt. My first attempt didnt turn out too well lol. I heard the key is to defrost them? I have crisco or bacon lard to fry them in. I don't care about nutrician, just taste and crispiness
Got Pomchi?
Question answered by Zoe
Yep. I usually nuke them JUST to defrost them. So they will be cool but all the ice will be gone. Before you put them in the pan put some salt (or seasoning salt or some cajun spice mix) in them and lots of pepper and maybe some garlic powder and maybe some thyme if you like it.
Meanwhile preheat a big pan on like medium hi and put bacon grease (yum) if you have it. If not or in addition - put in regular cooking oil like veggie oil and some butter (plenty of it - like enough to cover the bottom and then a little more). and when it is just starting to smoke dump in the potatoes in and spread them out and pat them down with the spatula and let them sit there. NO TURNING or futzing with them. If the oil continues to smoke, turn it down ever so slightly. Let it cook for like 3 minutes and then take your spatula and have a look under the edge to se if it is getting brown. If it is barely brown let it go. The edges are generally darker than the center. Let it cook. As it does it will absorb the oil.
Now if you can do it in 2 pieces or less you need to flip it. I generally divide it with my spatula and flip each side. As I lift each piece I turn up the heat and pour in a bit more oil and butter. BUT what is ideal is to shake the whole potato cake loose by giving the pan a shake or two and slipping the cake uncooked side up on to a plate or covering the pan with a plate and inverting it to the plate.. Crank the heat up. Add oil and butter and then with your hands (right under the pancake with fingers spread wide and a spatula in other hand, carefuly invert it back into pan (uncooked side down) with the aid of the spatula and guiding it with your hand. let it get brown. Sprinkle with more salt and pepper when you put it on your plate. Potatoes need more salt than you imagine.
