What are kites and mystical triangles in astrology?

What are they exactly? do they have any meaning? if they do, what does it mean if someone has 3 kites and 2 mystical triangles in their chart? thanks sorry correction, i mean't mystical RECTANGLE. not triangle.

Question answered by Actualmente, Disfruto Siendo Lycantropica

The Kite consists of a Grand Trine. Two points of the triangle sextile another planet that goes on to oppose another point of the triangle. This configuration indicates ease in achieving the native's aims, often through the aid of others. A Mystic Rectangle, aka the Envelope, is a configuration in which two oppositions are in sextile to each other. In general it indicates communicative ability and a love for expressing one's ideas to others.

Where can I find information on how to make a kite for myself?

I live at UCSB, and sometimes it gets windy. So windy, that I've finally decided to make a kite and fly it at Campus Point. But I need some information on how to make some basic kites. Materials, designs, all that stuff. And you better not put "the Internet" or you will end up looking like a dumbasss.

What ancient chinese dynasty invented the kite and when?

I have to do a kite project for school. I can't find this information anywhere! I really need to know this for my report! I need to know what dynasty invented kites and in what BC time it was. Please answer this and if you found any helpful websites that would be awesome! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Question answered by Light Knight

One of the earliest written accounts kites is about 200 B.C. During the Han Dynasty when the Chinese General Han Hsin deployed it for a battle. However this does not mean that the kite was invented by any dynasty or even in China. Only that this is the first documented use, not where he got the idea from. There is other evidence supporting that it may have been developed separately or even before in the South Pacific Islands where they are used for fishing. This has been handed down through oral traditions and some cave art. It is likely to have developed separately over a wide area a few thousand years ago. There are several theories of how kites were discovered. Natural leaves, clothes hanging on a line, tore away sails on a boat. Keep in mind that these are all just theories and archeology evidence may someday prove one over another.

Kitesurfing or kiteboarding question: What are kites made of? How strong/thick are they?

Please tell me the type of kite, too. I know powerkites are much larger and have an air pocket. I want to know what type of material the kites are made of. Do some kites have ribs to provide support to the shape? Or are most very foldable fabric? Also, I'd like to know how strong and thick the strings are, and the number of strings connect from the bar (the red/blue control bar for the kite) to the kite.

Rain

Question answered by Sean T

kite boarding kites are made from a nylon like material, they are usually single skin (as opposed to the foil land kites which are twin skin). The leading edge is an inflatable tube which gives the kite its shape and also has inflatable structs, again to give the kite its shape. Once deflated the kites fit in a ruck sack style bag no problem. The bar has 2 lines going to the front of the kite and 2 steering lines going to the back of the kite, just google the breaking strain, it's very high. You can easily get picked up and travel large distances with these kites, especially if you use them on snow, just youtube snow kiting.

How do you make a kite out of recycled items?

My whole school is building kites for Earth Day/Fly a Kite Day. & We have to build kites, but they have to be out of recycled items. We also need a tail, but that doesn't have to be recycled. & Neither does the string to fly it. Any ideas?

Esmeralda

Question answered by Keely

get old news paper then some old straws or anything u can find glue them together like a normal kite then mabey you could find old fishing wire put that on an old yarn wheel thing then connect it to the kite and there is your recycled kite!!!! for the tail get a old kite you may have or sombody may have us the end of that tail

What would happen if a plane passed by a kite?

I've seen kites go pretty high and some planes were nearby. Do you think it would interrupt the plane.. or simply get torn to pieces? Are there any regulations as to where you can/cannot fly a kite?

blue_rose_69

Question answered by Racefan

Kites can go pretty high, but I do not think that they go near high enough to get close to, let alone bother a plane. You need not worry. As far a s regulations where you can fly a kite, use common sense, don't fly one near an airport, and you will be OK.

Where do you know special kites are sold?

I want to buy some special kites. Very big or very strange. In fact, some very normal kites such as triangle kites are also OK. They are classic. I plan to hold a kite party. Don't ask me why.

Michael

Question answered by John Goodall

For normal kites, how about this http://bit.ly/q77T3F use it as a basic price for everyone.

What is the best place to buy kite boarding gear?

i've taken some lessons and i think i want cabrinha kites (convert) because it relaunches well. should i buy new or used? what's the best retail price source? thx!

Question answered by Sadem

i'm in the same position you are,and from the research ive done this is what i'd recommendmi would save up about 100 bucks and get 2 kites, from a certified used dealer, or from a professional rider selling used stuff, then i would go out and get a really shitty board for like 50 bucks, this way you will have a great wind range with your kites, and be getting into the sport for not too much money,i would also strongly recommend cabrinha.they have the safest kites

Can anyone tell me some tips for flying fighter kites?

I've been flying kites since last year, but still I cant get it to fly correctly.

Ash

Question answered by dickjonnson

By 'Fighter' kites, I assume you are referring to steerable, 2 (or more) string kites...and by 'fly correctly' does it nose dive no matter how you launch it or is it a practice issue? IF it is nose diving or not responding as expected, check the main harness is attached to the kite correctly (depends on type of kite). Make sure your steering lines are all the same length, again depends on type of kite. More detail is needed to make a proper assessment.

What's the higher price you would pay for a kite if your at the beach?

What's the higher price you would pay for a kite if your at the beach? If a guy passes by the beach selling kites, whats the highest price your willing to pay for a kite?

Question answered by CB

Depending upon wind and the kite. $10-20.
