How can I transfer my Karaoke discs to a memory card or stick?

Our Karaoke machine will play from a CD+G(disc), a memory card or a memory stick (flash drive). I have 42 CD+G's and we are often throwing parties. I am worried that the discs will get damaged and scratched and will no longer play. They are expensive to replace so I would like to put them all on one (or several if necessary) memory device, leave that in the player and play them from that. Is there a way of doing this?

Question answered by Sarah

Yes, you can back up the CDG disc file to your memory device if you have the right software. find it at: http://www.karaoke-tutor.com/backup-cdg.html

How to run a karaoke system at home for our family use?

I want to run a karaoke system at home for our family use. Sometimes we may use it to hold a party and so one. Can someone give me some suggestions? Thanks in advance! Lynn.

Question answered by Robert

I would strongly advise not connecting the player to your home stereo or surround sound system. Doing so can ruin your home audio speakers. They are not meant for the kind of abuse that live sound can encounter. Radio Shack has a nice Karaoke system great for home use. It says it's a professional system, but I don't know any professional who would use it. It's simply too small for professional use. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4325985# It comes with the karaoke player, an amplifier, speakers, stands and a microphone. If you were to try to buy all of these individually, it would cost quite a bit more, although you could get better quality components. But for home use, I doubt you would need them.

Where can i get a karaoke program that will display lyrics automatically?

I want to do some karaoke with my friends of Origa's songs but none of the players I have found will display the lyrics or won't without editing and there are so many songs. I don't have the patience. Does anyone know of a karaoke plugin or player that will automatically display the russian, japanese and english lyrics from her songs?

Kuze

Question answered by Disco Bob

As far as I know, there is no such thing as to what you are asking for. But if you want to play Russian, Japanese and English songs, then I'd suggest Ace Karaoke which has just about every international karaoke music available. http://www.acekaraoke.com/international.html You can play them on any regular karaoke player. I hope this helps. "Disco" Bob

Is it possible to use my karaoke mic as a mic for my computer?

Hi :) I was wondering if I can use my karaoke mic as a mic for my computer. The thing at the end of my mic fits into the mic hole of my computer. I wanted to record myself singing in better quality. But it's not working, even though it fits D: is it possible?

M

Question answered by Guy

The mic amplifier in your computer doesn't produce enough juice to power your large karaoke microphone. It's more suited to be used with a very small electret mic that requires very little electricity. I suggest you get a mic pre-amp then plug the mic into the pre-amp, then pre-amp into the 'line in' on your computer sound port. You may be able to use your karaoke machine as a pre-amp by using the 'line out' of your machine to the 'line in' of your computer. U will probably need an RCA to phono adapter cable.

If there was a mobile karaoke bus available would teenagers be interested for their birthday party?

If the party could be a mobile style disco/karaoke bus would teenagers be interested? Or for boys, a mobile game station bus with interactive playstation games where they could compete with their friends.

Michelle

Question answered by Little Richie

I did the mobile game station, it was sick! A karaoke bus would be great too! It will be very fun, I promise! Most of the mobile trailer companies always give you a great high-tech experience!

What is the best site for purchasing and downloading karaoke songs?

We need high quality karaoke songs, not the MIDI crap that is so prevalent. Real music tracks without the vocals and are willing to pay for them.

How to connect more monitors to the same computer for karaoke?

I want to make a karaoke system. For this, I want to view the karaoke program on one computer monitor. Other monitors, connected to the computer, I want them to show the lyrics (not the karaoke program).

Ronald Vexa

Question answered by wiseguy

This is called dual display. The workstation is displayed on one screen (typically a laptop) and the karaoke is displayed on another monitor(s). Your computer will need the extended desktop feature (found in display settings). Then you will need karaoke hosting software that makes use of this feature. The connection will be from the s-video out of the computer to an RF modulator (found at your local Radio Shack). The modulator converts the signal to VHF and allows you to connect to any TV. Otherwise you could connect to any monitor or TV that has an s-video connection. JustKaraoke is an easy to use and inexpensive karaoke hosting program and can be found at http://www.karaoke-software.net/tricerasoft-justkaraoke.html

How to make karaoke dvd's play on a computer?

I have a Promac Cantana DVD Karaoke Player which includes a 10,000-song dvd. I try to load the disc in my Aspire 4935 laptop but won't play. I searched over the web but couldn't find a software that may decode the disc. I was planning to make a copy of the dvd so I can bring it with me making my computer a karaoke machine. Any help?

Bong

Question answered by clive

All you need is a software called DVD-Midi Karaoke Ripper to make a copy of your disc. If you want to play the disc itself on your computer, try to search some programs like DVD-Midi Player. hope this help.
