Would a doctor be able to tell whether my hair follicles are dead or still alive?
I have a bald patch on the side of my head (from surgery) so would a doctor be able to tell whether or not the hair follicles are dead or alive, or would I have to see a dermatologist or a hair consultant or someone like that?

No hair growing means dead. You can get a hair transplant though. Not worth the money. I wear my hair shaved to the skin and I am 28, not balding.
How to dye my hair all one color if I have blonde streaks on top?
Okay so I have blonde highlights only on the top part of my head, not in all my hair. I want to dye my hair all one color again my hair is medium brown. I want to know what developer should I use and should I go with light brown or medium brown and what base ash, neutral and so on. And do I dye the part that is bleached first or last. I really need help and I can't go to the salon cause I'm broke so I want to try to do it by myself. Just to let you all know this is not the first time I dye my hair by myself so I kind of know a little about dying. I just want to know what developer should I use a 10, a 20 or a 30. Thanks for the help!

How to make my hair darker without dying it?
I have black hair but it's fading to a dark brown.. :( Is there a way i can make it darker again?
I'm not finished...

I have been a hair designer and product development consultant for 35 years.
The only way to do that is to add a semi-permanent color, something without amonia. While semi's are not harmful to your hair, they fad off within 6 weeks, then you have to reapply. Do not use a permanent color! You will set yourself up for all kinds of headaches after.

How to make my human hair extensions softer?
So i have hair extensions, and i barely ever blow dry them or straighten them, and i got them about two months ago. But there getting very dry and feel really bad, they don't feel soft anymore. I use special hair treatments as well, like deep conditioning ones and they feel soft while there wet, but when they try they feel all gross again, is there anything else i can do?
And if you know any really good 'CHEAP' products please tell me! ^_^
I can't really afford expensive products.

When it comes to human hair extensions, you have to remember to treat them as if they were your own hair. Because the hair is not actually attached to your head, it does not get the natural oils and moisture that you natural hair gets, but still needs it to stay shiny and healthy. Many over the counter shampoos and conditioners will not cut it when it comes to rehydrating hair extensions, there are a few shampoos and conditioners available a 'Ulta" or even salons that start off at around $11 dollars each which is affordable. Make sure you talk to a consultant at the store to ensure you are getting the best recommendation. Also, if you bought not very good quality hair, I am sorry but two months is about the life time of some hair extensions. Especially if they are blonde. If you are desperate to revive your extensions and want to spend the smallest amount of money, I would recommend "Tresemme" rehydrating conditioner. Wash your extensions in COLD water, add huge amounts of the conditioner and massage it onto the hair from root to tip, do not tangle! Lather on as much conditioner as you can and let it sit all night long. In the morning, wash out the conditioner and using a soft brush comb the hair GENTLY and trim the bottom. This helps a bit. Overall, your extension looking shiny and healthy all depend on how you CARE for them. Never sleep on top of them while you sweat and sleep, they will lose their shinyness this way. Never wash them in burning hot water! Always add moisture (Hair oil works as well), use the lowest heat setting on your straightner, brush gently and avoid tangles. Hope these suggestions helped. Good luck with you hair :)
How do you make your hair thicker?
I have really thin hair. It is falling out, and it gets tangled no matter how many times I brush it.

How to grow your hair long and flowy?
My friend has short hair. It is brown. How can she grow it long and flowy?
Kelly
Question answered by Victor
I have been a hair designer and product development consultant for 35 years.
If her hair is not that way naturally even short, then it will grow longer with the texture that she was born with.
All hair products are water soluble and breakdown shortly after application. Everything that we have been taught since the 70's about what hair and hair products can and can't do is 85% wrong. HAIR IS DEAD! Go to www.sabinohairhair.com and learn the realities about this information. Non-water soluble products are the only products that completely protect hair especially as it is growing longer. Watch this video:

What can seriously be done about hair loss?
I am not talking about transplants, etc. I have thin hair but nowhere near bald or anything like that. But if I let it get longer than shoulder length its breaks off and falls out regardless of what treatments, shampoos or whatever I use on it. Any ideas or am I destined to having short hair?

How can you tell if you get an allergic reaction from a hair dye?
I just did a 48 hour test patch for a hair dye that i've choosen. i had do the patch behind my ear, and for the first minute the dye was on my skin, my skin began to burn slightly for a minute, then the burning stopped and it went red. the red faded after about 5 mins or so.
even though it only showed those side effects for a minute, does it mean i have an allergic reaction to the dye or is it just the skin reacting to the dye?

You might want to call the number on the box and talk to a consultant about your signs. Whenever I dyed my hair to a lighter blonde, it would tingle and get a little bit warm, but that's just the chemical reactions going on.
Perhaps you might want to choose a different brand of hair dye, as well. It might be something that's in that brand that makes your skin react that way.
Can you use rogaine to promote hair growth if there is no hair loss?
I am a girl and my hair is not thinning at all. What I was wondering is can you use rogaine to promote hair growth if there is no hair loss? I mean, will it speed up my hair growth or make my hair thicker?
Berlin Liguori
Question answered by Mukunda M
Rogaine does nothing to promote hair growth nor makes it thicker. Do an Answers Search - many will tell you that.
Yes, oils WILL promote hair growth and make it thicker.
The secret is how you apply and use.
Use simple extra virgin olive oil and thoroughly massage into scalp. Then brush with a fairly stiff boar bristled brush (not a cushioned brush) as many as 60 brush strokes (make it quite fast) so that you feel bristles on scalp. This WILL make hair grow faster and thicker. It's OK if the brushing reddens the scalp but do not brush so it's painful..Leaving oil on for as long as you can will be more beneficial
Do it every day and in one week or a little more you will see clear results and better ones each day.

My hair is natural really dark, almost black really, and the color now is a medium brown. But I keep getting told that if I dye it black it'll look really fake and I don't want to dye it dark brown because it still won't look right. so what do i do?
