I need to find entertainers willing to perform at a charity event voluntarily so the entertainer can raise their profile whilst helping the charity raise their awareness.

State what what the benefit is for, type entertainers you want and where the performance is to be held. I am sure you will get response. Entertainers are very good at giving of their talents for a good cause.

Providing security for adult entertainers going to dance at hotel rooms?

I have been asked several times to provide protection for entertainers in Las Vegas that go to hotel rooms to dance for their clients to entertain them. The routine is to wait outside the room or wait down stairs in the lobby area. Call in every 15 minutes. And to come knocking on the room's door if there is no answer or something is wrong. I don't really want to do this kind of job because in an emergency I believe one will get into a lot of legal trouble if breaking and entering a room is necessary to protect the dancer. I know that you are legally more protected if there are audible screams of help coming from the room and you have this recored as evidence or have witnesses. But what if she is gaged? And the only reason for you to believe she is being violated is the fact that she told you there is something wrong if she doesn't answer the phone or answer the door. Any advise from bouncers, securities or police officers will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hope these girls are just "entertainers" and nothing else. If they're hooking and you're their "driver/security" you'll be facing charges when they entertain Vice.

We are volunteers of a non-profit organization in the USA. We would like to know "What documents and/or paperwork should we submit to the consular overseas office" to sponsor professional entertainers (singers, movie stars, etc) to the United States of America for 2 to 3 months for fundraising purpose. Bringing professional entertainers to the U.S. to perform calls for a an approved petition and a nonimmigrant visa that would permit the applicants to perform in public. The visitor visa status is not appropriate for a member of the entertainment profession (professional entertainer) who seeks to enter the United States temporarily to perform services. Instead, performers shall be accorded another appropriate visa classification, which in most cases will be P, regardless of the amount or source of compensation, whether the services will involve public appearance(s), or whether the performance is for charity or U.S. based ethnic society. The term “member of the entertainment profession” includes not only performing artists such as stage and movie actors, musicians, singers and dancers, but also other personnel such as technicians, electricians, makeup specialists, film crew members coming to the United States to produce films, etc. You need to investigate the feasibility of filing form I-129 with CIS to petition for these professionals. Look at the instructions on the form to see if they would qualify for the P-1 classification. The P nonimmigrant visa classification was created by the Immigration Act of 1990, Public Law 101-649 of November 29, 1990, specifically to provide for certain athletes, entertainers, and artists who are coming to perform in the United States. Every P-1, P-2, or P-3 alien must be the beneficiary of a petition approved by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) prior to visa issuance.

What entertainers are good at children's birthday parties?

I'm creating a list of entertainers for birthday parties as part of a work experience placement. I have some ideas but I'm wondering if you have any suggestions of what sort of people are good at entertaining children; eg. magicians, clowns, dance teachers etc. Any suggestions welcome, however, weird and wonderful they are! There are professions that are a combination of what you've listed. There are clowns who can do magic tricks, and they can also make silly balloon shapes as well. The clowns may also be in troupes that can perform dance and singing numbers for children. See if you have any people around your area who do that.

Where is the best place to get Public Liability Insurance in the UK for entertainers please? I have tried to few places on the web only find out that they don't cover entertainers.

I believe AON Corp which operates in the US and UK as a broker or agent does entertainment liability. It is usually based on receipts, basically used as a value for the event. It is very difficult to obtain for small entertainers as they usually have high minimum premiums. You don't state what type of entertainment. Also Company Insurance in the UK advertises that they cover entertainment and leisure insurance.

what is the best website to contact comedy entertainers like Stand up Comedians, or improvisers?

Im in charge of locating entertainers for a Umass Amherst comedy festival. I need the best location to find some really funny entertainers. I have a good amount of money in a budget to hire someone as well. Also if someone reading this is an entertainer and interested in performing, by all means send me information and I will return the favor. I prefer someone professional, but if you are a skilled amateur, there is no reason you can not perform. you will be paid.

I think there's more talent now than ever before, but the traditional venues and companies are outdated and refuse to adapt to modern times.

Why do entertainers get paid more than doctors and lawyers?

Doctors and lawyers do more than entertainers and they get paid millions more than doctors and lawyers. It doesn't seem fair since doctors save lives.
