How do I prepare a join venture agreement between my company and a similar company in Australia?

My company conducts oilfield inspections for drilling contractors and drilling rig owners

How do I prepare a presentation showing my team (107) are ready to work offshore?

I am a manager of a new offshore platform. We have being building it onshore for the last 18 mths and at the same time we have being crewing up. I have employed about 30% personnel from outher platforms and the rest are made up from various other drilling contractors. I have also being putting all the team thru' an intense training programme which is just about complete. I have now being challenged by the Operator to demeonstrate that the team are competent to go offshore. I am not a computer expert as I am one of the oldies and I would love some help/advice on this. Thank you. John

Why is BP being treated so badly for the oil spill when surely its the drilling contractors fault?

Im just saying BP didnt own the Deep Water Horizon drilling platform and its the AMERICAN drilling contracters who are to blame

V V

Question answered by Guy

LOL! @ some people. The American contractor drills to American regs. If BP tell the contractor to drill & they comply they as a company could themselves be breaking the regs. The contractors know the regs off to a tee. The contractor can say NO! But it drilled the well. The contractor is it it for the MONEY as well.

How do contractor fix wrong sizes basement for manufacture homes?

Just wonder how solve. I know it's rare because most foundation sub contractors are professional. However I am just bring up a big "if". What methods and ways to fix? Or can they go ahead put manufactures home on wrong size basement? Or they are require to remove a whole basement and then redo it again at expenses of 25K dollars or more.

Question answered by Rob G

This is really impossible to answer without knowing the complete situation. However most foundations can be lengthened or shortened (altered) to correct the original mistake. It usually is not cheap or easy but can be done. The repair usually involves cutting the old poured concrete, adding new re-bar by drilling holes and epoxy them in and using a bonding agent Between the old concrete and the new pour. Or in the case of block work, breaking out the old block in a staggered pattern and "lacing" new block into where the foundation is still correct to specifications. Of course this will have to be submitted to the building dept. and inspected, once completed. The house should not be installed on the wrong size foundation as it will not be supported properly where it needs to be. As far as removing the whole structure... that MAYBE a local code but as I said, you can usually correct the problem with lots of work. Never ever rush through layout of a foundation, and always double check your work. This is a very important phase of construction, and one that is not easily fixed or changed once it is wrong.....

How can I find comparisons on large hammer drills?

I need a hammer drill to dig in hard compacted gravel roads and do some small concrete/asphalt drilling of up to 3/4" holes. I have a friend that uses a Bosch 11316 EVS and really like it and I am looking for a comparative product of Dewalt, Hilti, Makita etc. I cannot find a website or consumer reveiw can you help?

Maxine

Question answered by ~< A T >~

Ask your contractor friends, they should be able to give you good advice, but never ask a supplier. However, from my experience, Hilti worked well, but cost slightly higher.

If you are a contractor worker for an individual and they refuse to pay you what rights do you have?

My husband worked for an individual running a mobile welding rig truck for a little over a month at a drilling rig yard. The man told him that he could take out his own taxes via E-9, now the guy refuses to pay him for the last two checks he is owed saying he has to take out the taxes himself and now isn't answering his phone calls or text messages. This isn't right to me. What are his legal rights in this situation? Isn't he legally owed for his services for this individual as a contract worker?

File a complaint with the dept of labor in your state. Then you husband must sue in small claims court

What Type of Drill Does a Circle Cutting Drill Bit Attach To?

I know very little about tools. What type of drill does a Circle cutting drill bit attach to?

Question answered by Charles

generally there are 2 types sold. there is a 3/8 chuck size which is usually for less powerful drills that are used for routine maintenance, and 1/2 chuck size drill that most contractors will purchase for professional use. a chuck is the top of the drill that you put the drill bit in,and the size type is how wide it will open. most "circle cutting" bits (LOL) can be used in 3/8 chuck the bigger the circle the more powerful the drill need to spin it. Usaully any thing over 3" diameter "circlr cutter" bit requires 1/2 chuck.

How much does a new well cost (not including drilling)?

I don't need a new drilling. I definitely need 1) new indoor equipment ... basically a new tank.... I currently have two tanks... don't know what for??? only one well though... I might want to have at the same time 2) a new pump dropped into my existing well. I am currently without water and need to figure out costs tonight. Please advise on ballpark cost. (House 2000 sq. feet in Chicago... don't know if it matters.) Also, soft water system is fairly new and OK. Thanks!!!

Question answered by paul h

New pump and pressure tank---8-900.0 installed depending on sizes---could be higher though...what problem are you having? could be a bad pressure sensor on the tank not turning on the pump? This site has free quotes from various local contractors--might be worth checking out to get an idea of costs. http://www.renovationexperts.com/freequote_overture.asp?Trade=Plumbing&TID=169&n=overture_plumbing

how much is it for someone to drill for a water well?

i live in mabelton ga,how much is it for a cotractor to come a drill for a water well.

Question answered by Cindy B

Lockdaddy is right -- the drilling charges are by the foot. So it really depends on how far down they have to drill to get water in your area. If you are right over an aquifer with good water (not too salty for example) and not too many other people drilling, then you may not have to drill very deep. Talk to some drilling contractors. They are usually VERY knowledgeable about aquifers in your area. Drillers in my area can estimate how far down and how good the water just by knowing what street we live on!!!! The other costs do add up though (pumps, tanks, electricity to the pump, etc.) Good Luck!!
