I'm looking for a website in UK or even better, a shop in the Manchester area, who sells Polypropylene Fiber for concrete reinforcement. Otherwise anywhere in the world if I have to!

I have never planted pole beans. Thought I would give it a try. I have a tomato cage made out of concrete reinforcement wire to plant them around. Should I try it, and how far apart should I plant them. The package doesn't have instructions since they are bulk beans.

For a college assignment (construction management) we have been asked to find out what plant would be used to create a raft foundation for a basement car park. My initial thought is concrete mixers and the various pumps and booms used to transport the stuff to the excavation but then I'm strating to think about the concrete reinforcement - what would that need? Crane perhaps? what about cutting equipment?? Aggh! Answers greatly appreciated :)

There is some relation between the weight and rate of concrete and reinforcement used in the structures like beams and columns. If any engineer or architect is aware, then kindly let me know the same.

Concrete rebars have circular cross section with ribs. Is there a reason for having circular cross section ?

I have a deal on 360,000 tons of rail road steel tracks (scrap metal) with a very good price. Yet I need to know if I can take them to a factory that melts them and remolds them to structural reinforcement steel bar for concrete reinforcement. I read some where that there is an ASTM for such thing ASTM A996. If it is possible how can I find such factory? and how much does this would cost per metric ton? How much steel is wasted during the process? Thank you

How long would it take concrete (with fiber reinforcement) to cure in an area of 120 by 120ft with 5 in thickness?

I have some slopped concrete that I would one day like to get fixed. I'm wondering if mudjacking works, or if I'd be better off just re-paving the concrete instead. One contractor told me that mud jacking is very expensive and just a short-term fix.

We install concrete main deck floors (so essentially suspended). So these floors are 3-4" concrete slabs on a floor truss system. We have seen a few issues with the concrete cracking and thus spider web cracking flooring (tile). Some say using concrete with higher PSI will help, some disagree. What can we do to avoid this cracking? Higher PSI? Less water mixed? Etc, etc. Thanks!
