Need help finding a company or supplier?

Do stores putting up Christmas decorations ridiculously early annoy you?

One shop I walked into today already had Christmas decorations up, it's not even November! One aisle was already stocked up with Christmas goods. It feels every year the festive season is getting longer and longer. Is it a bid to get us spending more in the slow months?

It's called greed!! People are forgetting what Christmas is about. Some have been raised to be greedy and have to have the latest and best.... It's a shame that it has come down to Christmas making or breaking a company's profits.

What Christmas presents should I get my 13 year old sister?

I'm leaving for Princeton after Christmas and I want to get my 13 year old sister a huge Christmas/Good-bye present. I thought that I should get her a tote bag filled to the brim with goodies. What should I put in there? Where can I get them? Thank you!

instead of a goodbye present that would just make her sad why not buy things to help keep happy thoughts on her mind about you. Give her stationery and stamps so she can write you when she wants to. Include a poem on a sheet by itself that remind her of you. Give her a heart necklace that has both sides of a heart that you both wear for each other. Include a diary that she can write down what she has done or feelings she's had since you left and you can talk when your home. And you take satationery and stamps to write her, don't make it a one-way conversation. hope this helps.

How do I make my Christmas better?

I'm a 25 year old rescue helicopter pilot on Kodiak Island up in Alaska (Work for the Coast Guard). I am will not be going home this year for Christmas. Me and the guys up here are giving each other small gifts the day off, but I will probably spend most of the day in the air. Any reccomendations to make my Christmas a better experience?

Question answered by luvrats

You mean flying (which has got to be fun even when it's scary!), rescuing people and saving lives isn't special enough? THANK YOU for all that you do! Church services maybe? Even if you aren't particularly religious, it can be really nice to share some time with other people in a holy place. Or perhaps a special meal? I hope you get safely home to your family soon.

What did you learn this Christmas to make it better next year?

After Christmas I review how it went, how I spent my time and my money, if a gift was or was not well received, etc. I try to make notes for next Christmas. What did you learn this Christmas that will make next Christmas better?

I will always sit back and listen to others talk. It's always funny to hear who thinks that their stories are important and listen to other people try to top conversations. I just smile and nod. You hear the craziest stuff that way.

What to write about Christmas being better when kid?

I had a prompt idea to write about of how Christmas is better when your a child. How could I end this or make it better and why is it better when your a child?

It's all more magical! Santa ate your cookies and the reindeer ate the carrots. You're usually more surprised on Christmas. You get toys and stuff and when you get older you usually get clothes and gift cards.

Is it appropriate to give a new landlord, a small Christmas gift, such as baked goods?

I've been living here for 2 months, it's a basement apartment in a house. My landlord is a single guy, I'm also single and I'm not sure if it would be sending out unwanted signals instead of Christmas good cheer. I don't normally give Christmas gifts to my previous landlords as I was in a large apartment building and didn't get to know my past landlords very well. Thanks for any advice!

Question answered by navybrat5678

I think it's totally fine. When you give him it, if he seems kind of weirded out, casually mention that its tradition for you to make cookies to give to people, friends, boss, coworkers, etc. I think its nice, especially for a single guy (likely as not, he probably isnt a big baker. Not being sexist, just truthful lol :-p. )

Was Christmas really more fun when I was young or is it just my childhood nostalgia?

Was Christmas better "back in the days" or is it still just as good? I want Christmas to be as fun for my kids as it was for me.

christmas is more fun when you don't have to buy the presents, clean the house, wrap the presents and do the cooking. otherwise i think it's about the same.

What's a good present for my sister who recently moved out?

My older sister recently graduated from college and moved to another state. She couldn't come home for Thanksgiving (everyone really missed her) but she's coming home for Christmas. I really want to make Christmas better to make her feel like she's really home. I was debating whether to get her something for her apartment or something more sentimental like pictures in a cute decorative frame. Does anyone have helpful ideas of what I can give her? Also my budget is up to $100 but I would definitely feel more comfortable in the lower numbers. And I know house hold appliances can be pricey but I figured online you can get them for cheaper or you could just get the cheaper lower quality ones that will last long enough until she can get a nicer one.

Get her a digital photo frame - with added pix from home. Solves both your gift ideas, memories and decoration. You can get them from $50-70 at Best Buy http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olstemplatemapper.jsp?id=pcat17080&type=page&qp=q70726f63657373696e6774696d653a3e313930302d30312d3031~~cabcat0400000%23%230%23%23t0~~cabcat0408000%23%230%23%23y~~nf1099%7C%7C382671756f743b202d20392671756f743b&list=y&nrp=15&sc=abCameraCamcorderSP&sp=-bestsellingsort+skuid&usc=abcat0400000 Amazon has them too http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003307BYW/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_3?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B0042USV5A&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1Y8X5JKVK6EC8VM4GZ84 http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_3_13?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=digital+photo+frame+8+inch&sprefix=digital+photo%2Celectronics%2C376

PENTECOST....ALSO WHEN THE SPIRIT was sent.

How close to Christmas do you start getting into the festive spirit?

For me, around the beginning of December. I think the build up to Christmas is better than Christmas itself...
