What should I do to visit a camping site?

There are 3 Camping Sites near Melbourne, Australia which I would like to camp at for a few days. None of them will take one person only. They only take groups of 20 or more.

All the caravan parks that I know of has the same fee for one as two people. The Big 4 caravan and camping grounds are good You will pay for one only at a back packers. dormitory style not camping. I don't know where you get this 20 people thing unless you are looking at a outward bound sort of camp site that caters for groups only.

Telephone District Office of nearest National Forest. You can enter and camp where you please but District Office will notify you of the rules, local road conditions, or any habitat dangers. Use Google Earth to find a likely meadow, pond, or whatever interests you.

What camping sites in Illinois allow alcohol?

I'm looking for a camping site in/around Illinois (not more than 100 or so miles from the South Chicago burbs) that allow alcohol at least somewhere on site. I'm trying to get a bunch of friends together to go, but no being able to enjoy a cold one (legally) would really put a damper on things. Thank you!

Are there any bush camping sites in Queensland or NSW that allows dogs?

Everywhere I check on the internet and in books, always list caravan parks but I am after camping sites which allows dogs, help!

You can camp anywhere in the bush with your dog except in national parks. I have made big trips to inland with my dog and camped anywhere in the bush, just drive off the main road, set up your campfire, put up your tent or roll out your swag anywhere, it's free. If you don't want to stay in the bush all on your own, many caravan parks do take dogs. From my experience, in most country towns, there is at least one caravan park that accepts pets. When you check on the internet, find the phone numbers to the caravan parks and ring and ask them if they accept pets. You'll find many do.

Where are some good camping sites in Illinois, Indiana and Missouri?

By good camping sites I mean clean, well-supervised, hiking trails, fishing lake. I am especially interested in camping sites that offer good hiking trails.

In Mo there are tons of em. Lake Wappalla trail of tears and the list goes on.................. pull up camping in Mo it really is going to depend on how alone you want to be when you camp, you know how deserted in the wilderness you want to be. Or camp sites set up by the state. right out side of Sullivan Mo is a few nice ones as well where you can go floating fishing....Meramac Cavern area too

How do you reserve camping sites in advance?

How do you reserve a camp site a year in advance? We try to stay at Big Sur on the west coast and its always booked. Any suggestions are appreciated.
