Are there any beds for pilots to sleep in any large jets?

Any future jets with beds in the cockpit?

Eddie Boi

Question answered by stacheair

To answer your question do aircraft have beds for pilots. Yes on long haul flight they do have beds know as crew rest and is a option on B-747 or B-777 as an example. On the B-747-400 as an example crew rest is located above door 5 in he aft section. It affords privacy and quiet, with freedom from distractions and involves no loss of revenue seating in the passenger cabin. They also have upper deck crew rest on some models as an option. On the B-777 located in the mid section lower deck is a module that can be added and flight crews take a ladder down to it from the main passenger cabin where the is severa beds and other gadgets for them to pass the time. Remember on long flight the aircraft have two flight crews because of the flight limits pilots can be at the controls. So they swap out cockpit crews and some take a nap while the others are flying. So remember not all aircraft have crew rest (beds) such as domestic aircraft.

developed in the 1970s, formally called the Rural Hospital Program of Extended-Care Services, to use excess hospital beds in rural areas to deliver long-term care for the frail and disabled. Informally, it was known as “the swing-bed program.” a swing bed is a term used to describe the use of an inpatient hospital bed for either an acute or a skilled level of care. it applies to rural hopitals with fewer than a 100 beds. some eligibility criteria includes: that a patients must have prior qualifying hospital stay of at least 3 days. The swing-bed idea arose from a twin set of problems facing rural health care systems: (1) hospitals were built on a scale that often resulted in their having more beds than patients to fill them, and (2) frail elderly people who were disabled often needed to go to nursing homes far from where they lived. In this chapter, Sharon Begley, science columnist with the Wall Street Journal, who has contributed previously to The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Anthology, tells the story of how some thoughtful leaders devised a seemingly simple solution to these two problems: use empty hospital beds for patients needing long-term skilled nursing care. Begley goes on to describe how the swing-bed idea developed, even over the initial reluctance of federal regulators to make an exception to Medicare regulations, the suspicion with which nursing homes received the idea, and the uncertainty about the level of care a practitioner could offer the occupant of a swing bed. The idea took hold, however; today, more than 60 percent of rural hospitals have swing-bed arrangements. In retrospect, the swing-bed concept proceeded in an unusually ideal manner: it was tested on a small scale, outcomes were measured, and then the model was slowly expanded to other rural areas. The federal government was involved from the beginning; the Foundation entered as the idea was gathering steam and was able to influence development and help guide the direction it took. As with many service innovations, the Foundation’s role was strategic and supportive, representing just one force in a larger national effort.

What are those beds called with the drapes?

I really like those beds with the big frames that allow you to hang drapes over your bed, like curtains. I would really like one, as I think it would be so cosy, especially if I got nice dark red drapes. What are those beds called exactly? And is it possible to buy the frame to attatch to an existing bed rather than buying a whole new bed? Thankyou!

Canopy beds. You'd have to check with a furniture store to see if the overhead part can be attached to a regular bed. And remember that a lot of dust will get caught on the drape so you'll have to take them down pretty frequently for cleaning.

How can I get my 3 yr old dog to stop peeing on the dog beds we buy him?

My dog always urinates on his dog beds. He will not pee on the floor if we take the bed away. He is almost 3 yrs old and never pees anywhere except for his bed. Any ideas on how to break this habit? At night we put him in another room and he will pee on real dog beds or blankets we put on the ground.

Question answered by cstinkerbell6969

Does he actually SLEEP in this bed? He may be trying to tell you HE HATES THE DAMN BED AND REFUSES to be treated like an animal by having a doggie bed! I bought my dogs a bed and NOPE they sleep with us! New beds went to Humane Spciety!!!! They have a spray you can try spraying on the bed that keeps some dogs from tinkling there- but doesnt always work. Try just removing the bed and laying him a fluffy soft blanket in its place and see how he likes thast!

What year of ford ranger beds will interchange with a 2008 ranger?

I wrecked my 2008 ranger and need a bed for it, i found a 1999 bed really cheap. Is the beds the same?

Question answered by Helmut

1998 through present. Forgot to mention that if yours is a standard cab be sure the bed you buy is from another standard cab and not a supercab. Standard cab bed mounting points won't line up to a supercab bed and vice versa.

Question answered by Steven's Love

A good way to get an animal to stop peeing on beds is to feed them on the bed. Animals will not go to the bathroom where they eat. It helped with all but one of our cats, but she had bad training when she was younger by her previous owner. If she is young and isn't fixed then getting her fixed might help. Good Luck.

What are the best ways to transition from cribs to beds?

When should we transition our 2 and a half year old twin boys to a bed? What's the best way to do this, and can we just by regular twin size beds, rather than toddler size beds that we'll have to switch again in just a few years? Thanks so much!

Mooncatcher

Question answered by mom2twinboys

When I switched my twins over I put one in the toddler bed because we had gotten one for free, and kept the other in his crib for about a week just because I wanted to make it a smoother transition and not have 2 out right away. This was the other one was excited to be out as well. I took the front off the other crib because it converted but ended up with both mattresses just on the floor. When we moved they got a full mattress because they wanted to sleep together anyways. When they are older I will get them separate beds but for now this works best and fits in their room better then 2 beds would. But if I wouldn't have had the toddler bed I would have gone with twin beds because of the short time they stay in toddler beds. I think they were in theirs only for a couple of months. I got them bedding for their full bed that was Thomas because it was what they were into and it got them excited to sleep in their new bed.

Are stand up tanning beds the best type to use when tanning?

Are stand up tanning beds the best type to use when tanning? Which beds to you guys most prefer, the stand up or the lay down? I normally use the stand up tanning beds.

bradnelson28

Question answered by nic0L3tt3

I feel stand up beds are much better than the regular beds. I feel my tan is much more even. Regular beds make me prespire and then the tanning lotion comes off on the plexi, and my tan is uneven.

how can i make bunk beds out of queen sized beds?

we're moving to an apartment soon and my sister and i really want to keep our queen-sized beds, but we also want bunk beds because they're more fun and leave more space. they are 2 separate beds...how could we go about doing this?

charlotte

Question answered by woodtick314

There are many reasons not to do this. You would have a lot of weight from the 2 beds focused on the bearing points (corner posts) of the frame. The size of the bed would require you to use heavier framing 2x10 side rails, probably 2x6 slats under the box spring. You'd never get a carpenter to guarantee that it would work. It sounds fun, but it's just not practical. Sorry.
