What are some beauty tips and what exactly is a beauty sleep?
I need some beauty tips, so any you know of, throw them in.
Also I have heard of a beauty sleep before but what is it exactly? Is it just a quick nap?
And what happens if you leave on your mascara when you go to bed?
And also about hair, I always wash cold hair after that. Is that good?
AND i need beauty tips on my face because I have pimples and I want something simple like a product or something

OK some beauty tips:
MAKEUP
never wear lip liner a shade/shades darker than your lipstick
under 30-shouldn't be wearing lip liner anyway
wiggle the brush as you apply mascara
when applying lipstick to avoid tooth stains stick your index finger in your mouth and pull out
white eyeliner on the waterline=big eyes
the perfect shade of lipstick is on the inside of your bottom lip
concealer, than foundation to set it
stick concealer for eyes
bronze can make your face look thinner etc if you do it right
penciled eyebrows- UC no offense if you have them-it depends
FACE AND SKIN, ZITS/PIMPLES
puffy under/eyes? submerge 2 teaspoons in ice water for 30 minutes or as long as you can and than place on your eyes until they loose their cool can repeat if you want, you can also place the spoons in water and then in the freezer
toner really does clean and a good one leaves it soft
tea tree oil and toothpaste are good for blemishes
thick masques usually pull the dirt out of your pores
heat up about a teaspoon of milk, then dip a small piece of bread (small or big enough to cover the zit) place it on your face and put a band aid (fabric sticks better) over it, it sucks out the dirt of some black heads and puss etc
if you can stand the heat-place a small EMPTY medicine bottle (like those small Motrin or anti nausea etc) in boiling water until hot then squeeze the air out and put it over your zit and let it suck the dirt out (it suctions to your face) [warning may cause bruising-painless but visible its like when you get one around your mug from sucking up a cup!!]
oatmeal and sugar/lemon scrubs are better than a lot of store bought stuff
don't pop zits popping=scars
avocado, coconut, olive oils etc are very softening to the skin
loofah's hold sooo much bacteria
HAIR
use a deep conditioning masque twice a week, warm it up and put it on your hair put a hair plastic shower cap on and shoot some hot air on it for 5 minutes repeat every 15 minutes for 1 hr then rinse with one batch warm water and then cold water to make it shine as cold as you can stand
lots of brushing is really bad
always protect your hair from the sun-any product that puts a barrier between your hair and the sun is good, creams and serums are better than sprays, they're thicker but if you have fine hair than use a spray so you don't weight it down less is always more when using makeup don't go to over the top unless its a Halloween party! always take a shower/bath every day to keep ur hair from getting gross and greasy, definitely use a hair dryer to dry ur hair it will look much better than natural hair dry. if u want u shuld get highlights but dont b 2 crazy so if u have brown hair dont get whtie highlights get like a lighter color of ur hair color, if u hav glasses u shuld get contacts it will really make ur face look clearer and better no offense to ppl with glasses. if u hav braces its no big deal just make sure the colors u get are some what neutral and match things u hav in ur closet, when buying makeup dont buy oil makeup and always make sure u wash ur face at night! if u want and u think u have yellow teeth try using white strips crest white strips r definetly the best!! hmm beauty sleep isnt really what it sounds like so it just means u get well rested so that u dont hav bags under ur eyes and ur face is all blotchy u shuld get a good 8-10 hours of sleep each night. if u leave mascara on when u go to bed nothing will happen u might get black powdery stuff around ur eyes but its no big deal u just wash it off in the morning! hope i helped u good luck!! :)
What is BEAUTY and why people have different opinion on that?
Some said that beauty is a subjective matter and others said the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I really curious when most people said that Giselle Bunchen (just an example) very beautiful but for me she not that beautiful.
Is there any scientific research on this matter? I once heard that people with symmetrical face (like a mirror at the centre) is considered very beautiful.

You and me are totally examples of "beaut is in the eye of the beholder", you think Giselle is beautiful but I found her to be unattractive. I think Gemma Ward is the most beautiful. But obviously because beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
What would you choose between the beauty of innocence and the innocence of beauty?
Again.....what would you choose between the beauty of innocence and the innocence of beauty?
Someone mighty say beauty is evidently displayed but innocence is hidden, others would prefer both, but suppose you accept the dilemma between the two what would you choose.
As a lady what would you like people to esteem you for, between your beauty , if any, and the innocence in you if any?
Question answered by Mrs. Payton
Beauty of innocence. You can come across the world's most beautiful woman and stare in awe, however, if you learn that she lacks decency and dignity, intrigue in this woman is lost. Nobody wants to be with somebody who lacks class and just gives herself to whomever they come across. Beauty remains in the purity, honesty, and loyalty of a person as opposed to their nicely combed hair.
Think about who you would choose as your partner: the gorgeous woman who has given a blowjob to every guy in your city and plans on marrying/divorcing you for money, or the average looking girl who's a sweetheart and is a loyal member of your life.
How come people say beauty is not important?
How is physical beauty unimportant?
The more beautiful you are the easier it is for you to attract a mate. Humans natural purpose to reproduce, not saying everyone wants to reproduce.
Question answered by purple daisies!
I agree with you. Physical beauty IS important, but I think what people are trying to say is that beauty is more than just skin-deep.

Innocence is sort of a purity of heart. Beauty in its truest sense also comes from the heart. It would be hard to have one without the other.
How important was beauty to ancient greeks?is beauty more or less important to us today?
is beauty the same for all people?or do peoples interpretations of beauty differ depending on their culture and values?is beauty always good?is good always beauty?
Everardo
Question answered by yb
Views of beauty always change. However, ours seems to be similar to that of the Greeks. However, if you look at the middle ages, the bigger a woman was the prettier she was. I do not think that beauty is always good because of the implications it can have. Conforming to this so called beauty has caused many people lots of problems. Rather than appreciating themselves, people would rather go anorexic or bulimic to conform to societies standards. But to me, good is always beauty because that is how I see it. Remember, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.. (cliche but true :P)
Hope that helped... Good luck
How can you get beauty companies to send you free products to test?
I am a frequent viewer of Juicystar07's (A beauty guru on YouTube) videos and today, she posted a video that included a haul from Beauty From The Earth Cosmetics. She mentioned that she gets free products. How does she get them? Is it because she makes reviews (she says that it is optional for her to review them, they send them to her anyways)? What can I do to get free products?
Thanks!

A lot of YouTube beauty gurus get sent free products.
First of all, there are a toooooonnnnnnnn on girls (and even a few guys!) who do makeup tutorials on YouTube. Some have like 100 subscribers... and some, like JuicyStar07 have like 200,000+.
At some point, they will get a guru badge (kind of like a Top Contributor badge on Y!A, except the Guru badges are based on how many subscribers you have) if they become popular enough. It's found under their picture/icon on their channel page. There are other types of non-beauty gurus, but the Guru badge looks the same for everyone.
Anyways, once they get a guru badge, it's basically telling the world, 'This person is a big deal! A lot of people watch him/her!' So companies take notice. That is when they start getting emails to be sent free products. Some beauty gurus get waaaaaaayyyy more than others, depending on their age, their demographic (ie, how old their viewers are, what country they are from, etc.) etc.
Let's take JuicyStar07 as an example. She's like 16 or 17? Most of her viewers are American or Canadian and are like 13-20 years old. So, companies with products like wrinkle-prevention creams and things targetted for older women obviously will not send her products. But companies like BFTE which targets teenagers and adults, would.
Basically, you have to become super known and popular. Usually it's YouTube girls who get free beauty stuff, but I've seen a couple bloggers (who blog about beauty and stuff) get free products, too.
There's probably some weird ways to get them too, like signing up to test them out but they're a bit shadier and under-the-table, if you know what I mean. And the products will not have yet been approved for consumer use. So who knows, it could turn your skin blue!
So. Become a YouTube beauty guru. Become super popular. And then BAM! You might just get free product offers! :)
Also, something that really helped JuicyStar07 and AllThatGlitters21, among others', popularity was that they were featured in Seventeen magazine's August 2009 issue as the YouTube beauty smarties (there were 10 of them), and they have also been featured in the issues after that (the Dec. 2009/Jan 2010 issue had MichellePhan and JuicyStar07 in it, doing Holiday looks.)
Hope this helped!
P.S. Sometimes, not only do the gurus get free stuff, but the companies "sponsor" the videos. ie, if the guru tells them that they really enjoyed the product and will give them a positive review, the company will pay her for it too! JuicyStar07 got paid for a few of her products that she reviewed, like the OraBrush. As of Dec. 1st 2009, the gurus have to say, in the sidebar if they got the products for free, if they are affiliated with any of the companies (ie, they work for, or are getting paid by), if it is their 100% honest opinion and... I think that's it!)

What causes an increase in beauty spots all over upper body?
Most places on the net says beauty spots occur before 20 years, but only occasionally after. So what could cause a sudden INCREASE (about 50-100) beauty spots on the upper body, including chest area and back after the 20 years of age? Thanks.
