How do I get a revised original marriage certificate in Mumbai ?
I was married in 1988 in Matunga and then got the marriage certificate in 1993. I have photocopies of the marriage certificate but do not have the original. I need the original as part of the documents for migration to Canada. Can someone advise me on how to go about getting it? Are there any agents who will provide this service? Thanks

Question answered by G Senthil Iyappan
Dear Buddy,
You can seek the advice / the duplicate copy from the place where you got married. In the absence of the original (as you are having the photostat copy), an Affidavit also would serve the purpose.
Best of Luck
Thanks, Warm Regards & May GOD Bless

How much does it cost to get a new drivers license?
I lost my license, I need to get a new one, how much would it cost to get a new one in Michigan?

Question answered by Katie Jo
i know here in Illinois it is 5 dollars for a replacement, and they retake your picture and everything..but according to the Michigan DMV website, it's 9 dollars :)
"Visit any Secretary of State branch office to apply for a duplicate. You'll need to bring some official identification―a photocopy won't do. Acceptable ID includes a certified birth certificate, a U.S. or Canadian passport, a marriage license, or a state-issued photo ID. Don't forget $9 for the fee.
Should you misplace or mutilate your license while traveling out of state, getting a replacement is almost as easy. Simply contact the Secretary of State's Out-of-state Resident Services Unit at (517) 322-1473.
They'll ask you to verify that you are, in fact, a Michigan resident. Then they'll mail you a temporary replacement and send you Form BDVR-61A, the Out-of-state Resident Driver License Application. You'll need to supply a current mailing address, proof of residency in Michigan, your Social Security number, and $9 for the duplicate license."

Here:
Any person who is at least 16 years of age and has not had a driver's license or right to operate taken away by the Registrar may apply for a Class M (Motorcycle) permit at any RMV full service office.
Fees
The fee for the written test for a class M permit is $30.00.
Documentation Requirements
If you are under 18 years of age:
You must present the following:
SSN Card or valid, current, U.S. or non-U.S. Passport
1 Primary document proving date of birth
Parental consent on the License application
A valid Social Security Number that verifies with the Social Security Administration or an acceptable written denial notice from the Social Security Administration.
Note: The Social Security Administration does not include any Visa information on written denial notices, therefore, if you do not have a valid Social Security Number, you will have to provide evidence of an acceptable Visa code in addition to the written denial notice from the Social Security Administration.
All documents must be originals. Photocopies will not be accepted. You must also clear a check through the National Driver Register and pay the required fees.
Parental Consent
If you are under 18 years of age, you must obtain the written consent of a parent, guardian, child guardian division or boarding school headmaster. Written consent must be given by signing the front of the License and ID Application. If the person giving consent is NOT a parent, proper documentation of authority must be shown at the time of the written test.
Obtaining your Class M Permit
Complete the permit application. This form can be found at any RMV service office. You may also download it from the Forms and Files section on our website.
You must present the application, the required ID documents, and the $30.00 fee, in person, to any RMV full service office to take the written test. The test is given on an automated testing system on a walk-in basis during posted branch hours.
The written test consists of twenty (20) questions. You must answer fourteen (14) questions correctly to pass.
At the time of your written test, you must also pass an eye screening for field vision and basic colors.
Please note that if you fail the written permit exam, you must present the required sources of identification documentation the next time you apply for a permit. Please refer to the list of identification requirements to ensure that you bring the necessary documents with you.
Obtaining a Duplicate Class M Permit
You must appear in person at an RMV office to have a duplicate permit issued for $15. If your permit has expired you need to take and pass the written test and pay the $30 fee to obtain an updated permit.
Limitations with a Class M Permit
You may NOT carry a passenger. You may drive during daylight hours ONLY (between sunrise and sunset). You must wear a DOT standard helmet. You must also wear eyeglasses, goggles or a protective face shield unless the motorcycle is equipped with a windscreen or windshield. You may not operate a motorcycle outside Massachusetts if that state's laws prevent you from legally doing so.
Renewing a Class M Permit
Permits expire two (2) years from the date of issue. If you need a new permit, you'll need to present the required sources of identification, take and pass the written test and pay the $30 fee
Obtaining a Class M License
You may apply for a Class M license if you are at least 18 years old and have a valid Class M permit. You may also apply if you are 16 1/2 years old and have successfully completed all JOL requirements. Parental consent is required for applicants under 18 years of age.
Fees
For a complete list of fees, please visit our fee chart.
Scheduling a Road Test
Once you have passed the written permit test and completed all necessary JOL requirements, you must call the RMV Telephone Center to schedule your road test. All road tests must be scheduled by the phone center. You may NOT make a road test appointment in person.
Vehicle Requirements for Class M Road Tests
For all road tests, you are required to supply a properly equipped, legally registered and insured motorcycle that has a valid inspection sticker. The motorcycle must be acceptable to the examiner. You must wear a DOT standard helmet. You must also wear eyeglasses, goggles or a protective face shield unless the motorcycle is equipped with a windscreen or windshield.

What number can I reach someone at the IRS?
I sent my taxes in the mail on March1st, 2013.
When i check the website's "wheres my refund" link it says they do not have any information and I should re enter my info.
So i called the refund helpline and it asks me the same info as the website does and then a recording tells me that they cannot help me.
If they would have received it, it would say "processing"? wouldnt it? I need to talk to an actual person so they can tell me what could have happend. Is it possible it was never received? or maybe there is a problem with my tax return? please its been more than 45 days. IUf anyone knows a phone number I can call please list it, thanks

Question answered by Bostonian In MO
If it's still not in the system after 45 days, most likely it was lost in the mail. Send another copy (with an original signature) but mark it "Possible Duplicate" in the top margin. Attach photocopies of your W-2s and any other source documents.
If you have proof of mailing of the original return, enclose a photocopy as proof that you filed before the deadline. If you don't owe, late filing won't be an issue.
Send the return via Certified Mail, preferrably Return Receipt Requested so that you'll have proof of mailing and proof of delivery to the IRS Service Center.
You can get a human at 1-800-TAX-1040. Don't press anything at the prompts and you'll eventually be routed to a human. Hold times in excess of 1 hour are pretty common this time of year.
do you need a title to register a motorcycle in Wisconsin?
I inherited a motorcycle in my divorce settlement. After the hearing, my ex told me that the bike doesn't have a title, that the previous owner didn't have a title and there isn't a title because it's custom. I'm not sure if all of this is true, but he said that I wouldn't be able to register the bike because of this, and that it would never be street legal. Therefore, no one would ever want to buy the bike from me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Question answered by Mrspolaris
I found this on the DMV's website:
Any time you acquire a new motorcycle, be it a purchase, trade, or gift, you must transfer the title into your name and you must register the motorcycle and pay the required fees.
Here's an outline of all the documentation you'll need in order to register your motorcycle:
The current title certificate, signed by the person selling the motorcycle; no photocopies
To replace a missing, damaged, or destroyed title, the registered owner fills out a duplicate title form and takes it to a Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) service center that offers titling services. The owner must sign the form.

How do I get a certified copy of qualifications in going to Uni?
Hi I finished high school in my country and I have my transcript, diploma and such credentials with me in goign here in Australia. However, the Unis always say something about original and "certified copies" of qualifications and academic reports.
My question is, how can they tell that its a certified copy?
Do I still have to make my previous high school sign those copies and such?
If I send them my original copies, would they send it back to me?
Thanks a bunch to those who'd reply!!

Question answered by Batako
G'day,
Where are you now? In Australia already or still in your home country?
If you are already in Australia and have the originals with you, you can either bring the originals with you to the uni and ask the staff there to make photocopies for their application record (and return the originals back to you). If you want to mail your applications, make photocopies of them and bring the original and copies to the nearest police stations. They will then certify the copies and you can mail the certified copies and application forms to the uni.
If you are still in your home country, then you can do one of these options:
1. Go to an Australian Education exhibition and bring your originals & copies with you. Show your originals to the university staff there and let them certify the copy and they'll bring the certified copies back with your application with them.
2. Go to an education agency and they can certify the copies for you (if you also show the originals). Of course this means that you are using their service as well to apply to the unis in Australia
3. Get the copies certified by police officer or notarial solicitors in your home country and send them with your application.
DO NOT send the original, unless you have duplicates of originals with you. In most occasions, the uni will not return your originals back.
Hope this helps. E-mail me at mikegun(at)studentfirst.com.au if you have more questions abt study in Australia. Good luck on your study and welcome to Australia :)
How do I get a new driver's license?
I'm moving to Tennessee but right now I live in North Carolina. Can I get a license before I arrive there in a few days? Or at least order a duplicate online? If I order a duplicate online with a change of address from NC to TN, is that a possibility? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Question answered by Patrick
Go here for all the details, a lot of these points have clickable links with more explanation and forms: http://www.tennessee.gov/safety/driverlicense/dlnew.htm
New residents or those returning to Tennessee and holding a driver license from another state must obtain a Tennessee driver license no later than thirty (30) days after establishing residency. New residents will need to go to any of our full-service driver service centers that are located throughout the state.
Requirements
All new or returning residents must surrender their out-of-state license at time of application for Tennessee license. Tennessee law does not allow a resident of this state to hold more than one valid driver license or ID. Only foreign country licenses/IDs may be retained.
All new or returning residents must take a Tennessee vision screening at the full-service driver service center. There are additional requirements for commercial driver license holders.
What documents will you need to bring?
PLEASE NOTE: All documents are subject to further verification with the issuing agency or source. Documents subject to verification may delay the issuance of your permit, driver license or identification only license.
No photocopies will be accepted!
At time of application, new residents must present:
Your current license (or certified copy of driving record and other acceptable ID)
Proof of U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Resident Status or
Proof of authorized stay or temporary legal presence in the United States
Primary Proof of Identity

Proof of any Name Changes if Different than name on Primary ID
Two Proofs of Tennessee Residency with your name and resident address - NO P.O. BOXES (Documents must be current. Must be dated within last 4 months.)

how do I get paid to take pictures?
I have digital camera
I want to sell them on the internet

Question answered by me
First you have to be real good, just to have the camera is not enough. Learn the theory and keep on learning.
I'm a professional photographer and isn't easy to make money from it this days. For some companies is cheaper to buy a CD with 1,000 pictures than hiring a photographer.
Weddings, Sweet 16s, and events are thing that give good money but be careful, you'll get into trouble if the pictures are lost (electronic equipment sometimes fails, that's why I use to cameras, and file duplicate files on different machines; Bad luck happens!). Also parents, pay for pictures of their children (babies mostly).
Post some flyers at some churches, or talk to "wedding dress stores" some of them let photographers post their flyers or cards.
Start doing some friends connections, that's how I got most of my clients, thanks to friends; if you are good people keep talking about you to other people who might need your service.
Make some business cards, give a few to some friends, (some print shops have real good prices, if not check the photocopy shop, or even on a home printer can do as a star).
Check if a known photographer needs an assistant, that's a good way to learn the tricks and to get to be known by potential clients.
Lear how to make a good contract, and the law; is easy to loose a lot of money if you don't know the legal aspect of this business.
Most important: Be professional, and do a good job, this way clients will be always looking for you.
